"This short work has been created using only “concrete sounds”: metal, wood, water and the human voice. In this historical moment the concreteness, I believe, is the acoustic space where we should concentrate our hearing. It is the very nature of materials which has given birth to telecommunications. In this short piece I’ve included the last sentences of John Fitzgerald Kennedy’s speech, he gave in Berlin in 1963, while the city was divided by the wall. In the sentence "Ich bin ein Berliner" I see a symbol of freedom, and a call for human brotherhood. I like to think that this voice could be a phone call we all can receive, in our minds, in our hearts."
